New Snarls Coming Soon…

For those who’ve been waiting to have their posts published: sorry. I’ll be checking for unposted posts when I check in on th site going forward, so you guys shouldn’t have to wait as long before your stuff gets up here. In other news, Alex has finally given me the information I need to get access to snarlingpenguin.com. That means a fancy-shmancy redesign is coming soon! It probably won’t be anything too too crazy, but hopefully a nice looking place to house all our fantasic artwork will suffice. Stay tuned!

Let the snarling (really) begin

So I imagine that most of us are finishing/finished with our internships and I wanted to see what people’s plans were for the future.  LA has been pretty wild and it has opened a few doors for me.  I’m currently trying to decide between 4 locations:  LA, San Diego, New Hampshire, or my old stomping grounds in North Brookfield.  Any thoughts?

Hollywood just isn’t for everyone sometimes…

Hey everyone,

1 more day to go in my internship at Novastar Post right here in Hollywood. Had an interesting time since I’ve been here. Worked part time at a local movie theater in Hollywood called “ArcLight” which is a really expensive place to go see movies. I guess thats why they made us wear fancy uniforms….haha. Eitherway, I’ve come to realize that Hollywood just isn’t the place for me. Not sure what I want to focus on in terms of a career as of yet. One thing I do know, is that its not in post production. As much as I have appreciated my experience here, its taught me one important thing. For one, I miss doing music. Playing and recording it. The second, is that everyday being 85 and sunny is boring as ever. I don’t know how people do it out here.

My plan for now is to head home for a while. I’m leaving here October 1st and am driving across country for 18 days. I figured this would be a great way to kick back, clear my head and enjoy my transition into adulthood and the post college lifestyle.

For now, hope you are all doing well and I look forward to seeing you all when I get back to the east coast!

Best wishes,

Doug
